Summary

A 230 metre dry unfinished leat on the east bank of Rattle Brook. The channel measures 1.5 metres wide and up to 1.1 metres deep with a bank on its west side. This leat was designed to feed a massively built wheelpit and adjacent dressing floor at SX56318428 140 metres to the south. The unfinished leat would indicate the project's abandonment before completion.

(15/08/1995) An unfinished leat running from SX 5617 8462 to SX 5627 8441. A dry leat channel commences on the left bank of the Rattle Brook and is truncated at a trackway approximately 230 metres to the south at SX56278441. There is no evidence for its continuation after the track. The channel measures 1.5 metres wide and up to 1.1 metres deep with a bank on its west side. This leat was designed to feed a massively built wheelpit and adjacent dressing floor at SX56318428 140 metres to the south. The unfinished leat would indicate the project's abandonment before completion.
