A mound is identifiable as an earthwork.

A mound is identifiable as an earthwork.

An oval mound circa 9m by 12m in size is identifiable as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019, at an elevation between 160m and 165m on the south east facing slopes to the south-east of Maddacleave Wood.
The mound is potentially the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date but a site visit is recommended to discount a modern, agricultural origin.
