Curvilinear ditches between 8 and 20 metres in width and forming a C-shape 140 metres across are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The earthworks are situated across three south-west facing fields north-east of Longcross.
The ditches do not correspond with any feature depicted on the available historic maps. The historic landscape is characterised as post-medieval enclosures.
The ditches are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use by the mid-19th century. The southernmost section of ditch may be of geological origin.
