Full description
South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.
The earthworks do not correspond with any curvilinear features in this location. The earthworks are located within land parcel 1298 which is recorded as being orchard.

Curvilinear banks, circa 4 metres wide and variously orientated, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013.
They do not correspond with any curvilinear features depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which records this area as being orchard on the accompanying Tithe Apportionment. The earthworks are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern.
This supports the interpretation that the earthworks are possible relict medieval or post-medieval field boundaries associated with Buckator farm. The field boundaries had been removed by the mid-19th century by which time the area had been given over to orchard.
