Summary

Flat topped massive cairn, possibly built round natural outcrop, more or less on highest point of rough pasture field. It lies immediately to the east of relict boundary which runs approx. north-south. Diameter measures 10-15m, height 2.0m approximately.

Greeves, T. A. P., 1980, Cairns (Worksheet). SDV255612.

(28/02/1980) SX 6568 9280 Flat topped massive cairn, possibly built round natural outcrop, more or less on highest point of rough pasture field. It lies immediately to the east of relict boundary which runs approximately north-south. The 1:2500 scale Ordnance Survey maps shows triangulation point here, but no sign of this could be seen. Diameter 10-15m, heig 2.0m approximately.

(09/07/1987) SX 6568 9280. Large rather shapeless mound (sub-ovoid), circa 7m east-west and 5 - 6m north-south, 1.5m high and formed of large boulders. Probably related to field clearance.
