(27/10/1982) The cairn lies at about 286m OD and has been severely mutilated. It appears to have had a level base and a diameter of circa 11m. It now has a height of 0.7m on its SW side. The north and west sides give the appearance of foundations of a late building, although this may be fortuitous.
Around the cairn are 4 large slabs, one of which is set in the ground to a height of 0.6m (see plan). The area is fairly stone free and these stones are probably part of a former surrounding stone circle. (See GP). Surveyed at 1:2500.

Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, 1985, Aerial Photograph Project (Dartmoor) - Dartmoor Pre-NMP (Cartographic). SDV319854.
