Summary

Earthwork remains of Medieval or later tinworks situated at the edge of the streamworks at Narrator Brook. Archaeological field surveys in 1999 and 2006 recorded a line of prospecting pits which extend for 100 metres in an east-north-east to west-south-west line from the edge of the Narrator Brook streamwork. The pits were all relatively small with diameters ranging from 3 metres to 5 metres.

Fletcher, M. + Newman, P. + Probert, S., 1999, Drizzlecombe, Eylesbarrow, Ditsworthy and Hartor areas in the Plym Valley, West Devon (Report - Survey). SDV346268.

(24/07/1999) A line of tin pits run for some 100m between SX 58916815 and SX 58896805 in an ENE to WSW line from the edge of the Narrator Brook streamwork (SX 56 NE 276). The pits are all relatively small with diameters in the range 3.0 to 5.0m.
