An irregular shaped earthwork depression is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depression does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. The plot is recorded as furze and pasture on the Tithe Map, later established as woodland. The depression is interpreted as an extractive pit of post-medieval to 19th century origin.
