The earthworks appear to extend from a depicted trackway.

A curvilinear ditch is visible as an earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The ditch is orientated north-east to south-west and flanked by a subtle bank. It does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, however appears to branch from a trackway first depicted on the First Edition OS map. It extends across two plots towards a marl pit (MDV39024), later orchard, to the north-east. Its south-west part is visible on modern aerial photographs.
The earthworks are interpreted as a trackway of mid to late 19th century origin, that may have led to a marl pit, and that passed out of use either by the late 19th century or may have been an unmapped route.
