The banks does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, but is parallel to a depicted field boundary to the immediate north. The bank is visible on modern aerial photographs and photographs dating from the 1940's. It is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use prior tocirca 1840.
