(17/07/1995) Centred SX 59337266 The fragmentary remains of at least two former field boundaries lie on the gentle SW-facing slope immediately NW of South Hessary Tor. The turf-built banks measure on average 2.0m wide and 0.7m high. Traces of a ditch up to 2.3m wide and 0.4m deep are visible adjacent to the external, west face.
These boundaries are probably contemporary with the development of Princetown fostered by Tyrwhitt in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
