A rectangular shaped earthwork depression circa 30m by 20m is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depression is situated within a plot recorded as 'Pit Park Orchard' in the Tithe Survey. The plot continues to be depicted as an orchard until the mid-19th century (MDV131817). It is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit, that ceased extraction prior to circa 1840.
