The ditch appears to extend from a depicted road to the south-east.

The ditch does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, but extends from a road depicted on the Tithe Map, later depicted as a field boundary, to the south-east. The ditch is interpreted as a medieval to post-medieval field boundary that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
