(27/08/1998) SX 55118355 to SX 55138324. Approximately 0.75ha of tin streamworking and opencast workings flank a small tight bank tributary of the River Tavy SE of Hare Tor. The streamworks lie on the middle reaches of the stream and consist of the characteristic linear spoil heaps and water channels enclosed by a well-defined tinners cliff. The upper reaches and head of the stream have been disrupted by two narrow opencast workings which terminate at SX 55118356 and SX 55218353. The ends of these workings are fed by two leats which both start at a small spring at SX 55268361.
A possible structure at SX 55178334 (SX 58 SE 73) to the N of the streamworks may have been associated with these workings.
