A series of closely parallel north-east to south-west orientated curvilinear banks circa 4m apart are visible as subtle earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks correspond with part of a plot recorded as 'Mow Barton Orchard' on the Tithe Map. The plot is depicted as an orchard on the First and Second Edition OS map, but had passed out of use by aerial photographs dating to the 1940s.
The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to 19th century origin, that passed out of use by the mid-20th century.
