An irregular shape earthwork depression circa 85m by 25m is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depression corresponds approximately with a coppice plot recorded on the Tithe Map and a small enclosure of woodland on subsequent maps. An earthwork ditch leads from its south-east part and extends to join a former stream or leat, depicted on the Tithe Map, and may be later drainage. The depression is interpreted as a post-medieval to 19th century extractive pit.
