(27/08/1992) SX 67037692. An amorphous stoney mound situated on the floodplain of the Walla Brook 150m NW of Grendon Strip Plantation. Depicted by Butler (1991 Map 18) (1), this feature is 5.2m N-S by 2.9m and 0.5m high. It lies on the line of a prominent reave, part of the Dartmeet Parallel Reave System (locally SX 67 NE 137). The mound appears to be a spoil heap of stones removed from short stretches of this reave. The breaks so created were probably designed to ease vehicular access along the drier parts of the floodplain. It does not appear to be an antiquity.
