Full description
Rainbird, P., 2020, A Middle Bronze Age Enclosure, Late/Post-Roman Pit and Late Medieval/Post-Medieval Cloth Drying Rack at Station Hill, Chudleigh, 148; Fig 2 (Article in Serial). SDV364790.
A hollow (F439) measuring approximately 4.5m by 4m by 0.6m deep was located to the west of the enclosure. The stone-rich fill of the hollow was cut by two postholes forming part of a post alignment (MDV132636) and the hollow was undoubtedly filled at the time that the post alignment was established. Two sherds of Bronze Age pottery and a piece of animal bone were collected from the uppermost fill of the hollow; these are probably intrusive and the feature had the character of a natural feature.
