Summary

A quarter of a mile to the West of the Ringhole Copse cross (SX 69 SE 4) a footpath joins the road from the NE. This lane had once been gated and closed, one of the gateposts being octagonal and tapering. The top is rough as though broken off. This is probably the remains of a wayside cross.

'Scarhill Cross' noted at the gated junction of a footpath joining the road from the north on the late 19th century historic map.
