Summary

Vis=estimated -/-/1976 (robinson, r. ). A red sandstone spindle whorl found in 1976 in the garden of boons lutton, south brent, in topsoil. Retained by finder. The object is broken, representing about half of the entire spindle whorl. The whole appears to be slightly slanting and to be slightly wider at the end than at the middle. The material of the spindle whorl is identical to that found at dockwell farm. Diam 6.5cm, thickness 1.5cm, diameter of centre hole 7mm.
