Summary
Remains of a circular coursed granite crane base within the main part of Foggintor Quarry. It is c.4.5m in diameter and c.0.7m tall. It is located close to the west side of tramway route MDV134435 and one of the crane's purposes may have been to load material into wagons using that line.

Crane base at SX 56675 73509. Remains of a circular coursed granite crane base within the main part of Foggintor Quarry. It is c.4.5m in diameter and c.0.7m tall. It is located close to the west side of tramway route DR+T_FQ_030 and one of the crane's purposes may have been to load material into wagons using that line.
The crane base is in a very ruinous state and less than 50% of the structure appears to be in situ. Reeds are encroaching from the southeast.
