Gawne cites strip lynchets above Rowbrook as examples of smaller and more primitive lynchets which may be pre-Saxon in date. They are situated near prehistoric settlement.

A series of hedge banks marking out the boundaries of abandoned medieval fields on the south-west slope of Vag Hill. Many of the boundaries re use components of the prehistoric Dartmeet parallel reave system (PRN 6030) but many additional banks were added.
