Salston Barton marked, comprising a C-shaped range of buildings with an open-fronted building to the south, the farmhouse to the north and three additional buildngs on the other side of the lane.

Salston barton, ottery st. Mary. Recorded as a customary holding in 1606 (rose-troup). Recorded as salveston in 1243, and as salfyniston in 1333. It was "salvin's farm" (mawer et al).
