A square enclosure, either single ditched in a system of other aligned features, or partially double ditched, is visible as a cropmark on cambridge air photographs immediately south of the triple ditched enclosure sx98se/17. The two enclosures do not cut one another, and could possibly be contemporary. This square enclosure, in other respects similar to sx98se/32,33,35,16, has its entrance gap to the west rather than to the east. It is perhaps 40m, very approximately along the side. A curiosity is observed on bcv 48, where sx98se/17 appears as a dark negative cropmark, and this feature as a positive cropmark. The ditches of this feature may tentatively be considered as of a different nature therefore (griffith).

A rectilinear enclosure of probable prehistoric to Romano-British date is visible as a series of cropmark ditches on oblique aerial photographs of 1970 onwards and on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2006, to the southwest of Mill Farm. The enclosure is sited within an area of raised, level ground which slopes gently down further to the north and east, towards the River Kenn. It measures approximately 63m in length by 50m in width, with well defined, angular corners and a clear entranceway along its western edge. Additional, but partial cropmark ditches to both the north and east may suggest this enclosure was double-ditched. A number of outlying linear cropmark ditches are also visible to the east of the enclosure, with the possible remains of an additional rectilinear enclosure with respecting entrance also visible to the west. A triple-ditched rectilinear enclosure is also visible immediately to the north (MDV10254), although is slightly different in form and with an opposing east entrance.

Devon County Council, 2019, Google Earth Aerial Photograph Pilot Project, GE75 (Aerial Photograph). SDV363341.

(SX 95171 84201) Enclosures and linears north-east of Chiverstone Farm. Enclosures MDV10253, MDV10254 and MDV17729 quarry MDV105698 are visible on the 2018 Google Earth aerial photography. Further linears are shown. Boundaries depicted on the Tithe map are also evident. Bronze Age to Post-medieval in date.
