Full description

Andrew, C. K. C., 1942 - 1946, Tavistock Plague Market in Merrivale Hut Circles (Article in Serial). SDV345183.

The hut circles near Merrivale Bridge, called "the rings", are said to have been used as the site of a plague market for Tavistock in the 17th century, according to a letter of 1797. Other details: DCNQ/22 pg 97-100.
