Name:Boundary stone 30m south-west of Hound Tor

Summary

A granite boundary stone sited 30m south-west of Hound Tor. The stone is 0.9m high by 0.8m wide by 0.4m thick and is roughly triangular. The letters `TP' are inscribed on the east face in letters 0.06m high by 0.015m deep. The stone marks the former boundary between Throwleigh Parish and Dartmoor Forest but has since been replaced by a boundary mark on Hound Tor itself.

Robinson, R., 1982, Parish Boundary Stone (Worksheet). SDV219109.

(06/08/1982) SX 628 888. A natural granite boundary stone set upright about 60 - 70m south-west of Hound Tor. It may not be on the Parish boundary as marked on the map but ? west of present parish boundary.
Height 1.0m, width 0.9m, 0.35m thick. Incised vertically on east face "TP" in unserified capitals (height 10cm: T, 14cm: P).

(20/09/1993) SX 62838895. A granite boundary stone sited 30m south-west of Hound Tor. The stone is 0.9m high by 0.8m wide by 0.4m thick and is roughly triangular.
