Summary

Irregular shaped turf-covered stony mound, approximately 218m in diam and of 0.3m maximum height. It's surface is disturbed which suggests robbing. It does not appear to be a stone clearance heap (there is no evidence of a field system or other stony heaps) and it is possibly a sepulchral cairn.

Des=worksheet. Vis=2/2/1983(greeves) possible small low cairn of small stones lying at a distance of 80m from gateway to the north (worksheet).

(18/07/1989) SX 64168084. Set on level ground in an area of rough grassland and heather in the bottom of a saddle at about 401m OD is an irregular shaped turf-covered stony mound, approximately 218m in diameter and of 0.3m maximum height. It's surface is disturbed which suggests robbing.
It does not appear to be a stone clearance heap (there is no evidence of a field system or other stony heaps) and it is possibly a sepulchral cairn.
