Irregular shaped building shown on the corner of Lower Market Street and Higher Market Street.

Number 1 Market Street in Tavistock, includes Number 1 Bedford Square from the block between Market Street and North Street at their south ends. Built circa 1830. Three storey classical frontages either designed by Foulston or sharing his influence. Rounded corners. Upper storeys have entablature supported on pilasters and engaged Ionic columns. Moulded and eared architraves to tall casement windows.
