SX 5851 6332 Hut circle S. Diameter 7.5 metres, walls 0.8 metres high. Associated with the two enclosures A and B. In good condition, walling consists of the usual turf covered stones. The entrance is to the south-south-east.

(17/06/1977) To the south of the enclosures are 5 type 2 hut circles average internal diameter 6.0m. with wall 1.4m. wide; one has a southeast facing entrance and possible annex. The surrounding area is clear of boulders but there are no lynchets. (Type site SX 56 NE 11).

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 133408, 18/5/1994 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Two conjoined hut circles forming part of partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into hillslope. South-eastern one is of double orthostatic walling. North-western one is of single orthostatic type. Interior of south-eastern one measures 5.2 metres in diameter, defined by wall 2.0 metres wide, 1.1 metres high. Rectangular hollow within hut, 1.0 metres by 0.7 metres by 0.25 metres deep may be result of military activity. South-facing gap in wall may represent original entrance. North-western hut survives as 4.0 metre diameter ring of stones protruding through turf to a height of 0.2 metres.

Butler, J., 1994, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Three - The South-West, 166-9, Map 51, Figure 51.9 (Monograph). SDV137656.

Hut Circle '12' of 6.2 metres diameter is the best-preserved of the group between the two enclosures at 'Tory Brookhead'. It seems to have an annex to the north-west indicated by a short section of curving wall.

Bluesky International Ltd/Getmapping PLC, 1999-2017, Pan Government Agreement Aerial Photographs, Next Perspectives APGB Imagery SX5863 01-JUN-2002 (Aerial Photograph). SDV363087.

Curvilinear stony banks are visible as earthworks.

Probert, S. A. J. + Fletcher, M. J., 2002, Plym Valley survey (Report - Survey). SDV350782.

Unenclosed hut circle at SX 58526334. Measures 5.7 metres north-south by 5.2 metres, with walls 2.0 metres wide and 0.6 metres high, this hut shows signs of internal facing and a possible blocked entrance in the south.

Curvilinear banks are identifiable as earthworks.

Bluesky International Ltd/Getmapping PLC, 2015-2017, 2015-2017 Aerial Photographs (Aerial Photograph). SDV361462.

Clearly visible on aerial photograph.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

A curvilinear bank up to circa 3m wide is visible as an earthwork under vegetation on aerial photographs of 1946, as a stony bank on digital images derived from aerial photographs from 2002 onwards and a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013.
The curvilinear bank encloses a roughly oval hollow nearly 6m across.
The visible earthwork is interpreted as the spread and damaged remains of a hut circle of probable Bronze Age date. It is one of 7 unenclosed hut circles probably associated with two prehistoric enclosure north (MDV53383 & MDV2425).
