Parallel linear earthwork banks, 3 to 3.5 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. They are cross-hatched and aligned in two different directions oblique to the contour, in a plot depicted with orchard trees on the late-19th century maps, part of which is recorded as orchard on the Tithe maps. They are interpreted as 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation, although previous interpretations have suggested that orchard was planted on top of ridge and furrow. No earthworks are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, suggesting that they were levelled during the 20th century.
