Summary

A group of possible post Medieval tin prospecting or extractive pits. An archaeological field survey in 1989 recorded a scattered group of at least 65 tin pits, covering an area of 3.5 hectares, within a shallow valley. Extensive streamworkings are situated to the south-west.

(06/03/1989) Centred at SX 62907220. A scattered group of at least 65 tin pits occupy 3.5 hectares of a shallow valley and broad saddle between 347 metres and 355 metres OD. Extensive streamworkings lie to the south-west.
