King, A. C., 1979, Bideford Bypass Survey (Report - Survey). SDV1506.

Axe 115 millimeters long by 50 millimeters wide. Sketches in parish file. Axe of dark stone is highly polished especially the blade. In possession of Major W Haswell of Westward Ho! The axe was found in the vicinity of Godborough Castle by Mr Cann a local farmer on the 16th September 1977. Other details: Worksheet No 11.
