Name:Hut circle within Lower Cator Settlement

Summary

One of two hut circles on the north-east lower slopes of Corndon Down. At SX 6835 7580 is a despoiled hut. The east side is damaged by ploughing. Survives as level platform with semi-circular turf and stone ring on west upslope side. Internal diameter of 7 metres Some stone remains visible amidst turf bank.

Three hut circles at SX68357580 and a double hut circle at SX68347583 within an area of ridge and furrow, but within the parallel reave system visible on 1946 and 1977 aerial photographs.
