Full description

Chanter, J. F., 1927, Sixteenth Report on Church Plate, 109 (Article in Serial). SDV239594.

St Nonna's parish church, church plate. Chalice; modern medieval style. Bowl hemispherical with sacred monogram, circular stem with good boss, circular foot. Inscription: "The gift of William Cloberry late of Bradstone esq. Deceased". Marks: J. K. and London hallmarks for 1847. Patens; a) on stand. Inscriptions as on chalice. Marks: T. S.(T Stone) and Exeter hallmarks for 1826. b) a disc. Marks; W. K. and London for 1908. Flagon: domed lid tankard. Height 245 millimeters, to lid 212 millimeters, diameter at lid 92 millimeters, at base 150 millimeters. Inscription: "Ex dono Maragreta Cloberry de Bradstone". Arms: quarterly 1 and 4. AZ. A bend engrailed, 2 and 3. A chevron between three bats (Cloberry). Marks: I. W, crown over, mullet below (John Webber), and Exeter hallmarks for 1731.
