(03/08/1977) A free standing hut situated upon a south-east facing slope at 290m OD recorded by the Ordnance Survey in 1977.
The isolated hut at SX 6404 6167 is of Type 1 with a sunken and levelled interior and a south-east entrance. Its internal diameter is 9.5m with walling 1.7m wide and 0.4m high, and is in poor condition. A ruined wall seems to connect the hut and the enclosure at SX 6404 6163. Also, fragmentary remains of irregular fields cover 5.0 hectares and are partially visible under thick bracken. Survey revised at a scale of 1:10 000 on MSD.
