Associated with the Medieval and later fields of Stanlake Farm are groups of small cairns that are probably Medieval in origin.

Fletcher, M. J., 2007-2008, Walkhampton Premier Archaeological Landscape; Field Investigation Project (Report - Survey). SDV359195.

(11/01/2008) One of these mounds (at SX 57177107) composed of smallish stones has the appearance and the hillslope setting of a pillow mound. It has no side ditches although such features would not be necessary on the steep slope. This mound and its neighbour are most probably Medieval or later clearance mounds or cairns similar in composition to numerous other irregular clearance features situated within the former fields of Stanlake Farm. Surveyed at 1:2500 scale.
