Full description

Grinsell, L. V., 1978, Dartmoor Barrows, 171 (Article in Serial). SDV273224.

Site visited in June 1976. At SX 66456132 Cairn found on hill slope measuring 6.5 metres diameter, height 0.5 metres.

Cairn at SX66496130 of 6.0 metres diameter by 0.3 metres high is a chracterless ragged-topped mound in the East Glaze valley.

This cairn lies on a spur above the south-west bank of the East Glaze Brook. It consists of a grassy mound 0.5 metres in height with traces of a retaining kerb giving a total diameter of 8.5 metres. It lies circa 100 metres from another cairn on the same flattish area on the 330 metres contour and a few hundred metres from the stone alignments and cairns near Glasscombe Upper Plantation.

Visited on 20th March 2021, surveyed and photographed. Small cairn east of East Glaze Brook: rather irregular stony mound, 6.5 metres north to south, 7.5 metres east to west, 0.7 metres high; extraction pit on west side.
