A dark rectilinear cropmark is visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs taken in the summer months between 1984 and 1995. It measures approximately 31 x 33 metres, with a maximum visible ditch width of 2 metres. Parts of this single ditched enclosure are indistinct, and a gap in the south-west corner might be a result of poor cropmark definition rather than indicating an entrance. The size and form of the enclosure is consistent with a later prehistoric or Roman origin.
A possible second enclosure to the south recorded in 1989 has been assigned a separate monument record, MDV112602.
Many of the aerial photographs consulted by the survey are copies of DAPs held by the Historic England Archive. In some cases these have been recorded as separate sources. This is because variations in the way the prints have been processed could result in images on which archaeological features are visible to a greater or lesser degree.
