Dark curvilinear and linear cropmarks, interpreted as having formed over buried ditches, circa 3m wide, are visible on oblique aerial photographs taken in 1989. The cropmarks partly define the sides of a rectilinear enclosure, circa 120m long by 80m wide, with corners visible to the northeast, northwest and southwest. Traces of an inner ditch are possibly visible to the northeast and southwest. Additional cropmarks within the enclosure may represent evidence of internal divisions, or perhaps belong to a different phase of activity. Curvilinear ditches to the southeast may also be associated with this enclosure. The morphology of the cropmarks suggests a late prehistoric or Roman date.
