Dark curvilinear cropmarks of levelled ditches forming a sub-oval enclosure are visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs taken from 1984 onwards, on the south facing slopes of a hilltop, to the south of High Beara, Staverton. The enclosure measures approximately 70m in length by 50m in width, with possible entrance-ways to the north and south and linear ditch extending from the southern entrance. Its form and proximity to other enclosures identified in this area would suggest a prehistoric or Romano-British date.
