Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Depicted on the Tithe Map; this building runs the whole length of the south-eastern edge of the farmyard. (1297 on map).

Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.

The central section of this range of buildings is no longer depicted on the historic map; so part of it has been lost since its depiction on the 1840s Tithe Map and then the late 19th century Ordnance Survey map.

Beeson, M. M. R. + Masterman, M. C. H., 1979, An Archaeological Survey of Enclosed Land in Widecombe-In-The-Moor Parish, Vol III, 657 (Report - Survey). SDV337078.

Visited 20/7/1979. Two outbuildings still stand at either end of the farmhouse. Opposite the farmhouse are the ruins of the central section of the 1843 building. According to H. French there are no ruins of the 1843 buildings shown on the tithe map visible today. The barn at the south end is largely post 1843 incorporating the old building in the south east corner. It has a shute, its runway cobbled, at ground level round the back. Some sort of conversion is going on in a small extension to the front of this barn.

Ordnance Survey, 2013, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV350786.

Only the southern end of the original building survives on the modern mapping.

English Heritage, 2013, National Heritage List for England, 1260211 (National Heritage List for England). SDV350785.
