Cairn circle shown on os 25" 1952 map. Vis=25/8/1980 (os). This may or may not be a genuine antiquity but the feature comprises mostly buried stone, its surface is 1m long and 0.3m high, with five large stones around it in the form of a semi-circle approx 9m in diameter. Two are massive slabs, one recumbent, the other 0.9m high; two others are recumbent pillar type stones at ground level, and the last is an upright block 0.5m high. No evidence of robbing. Whether the stones represent the remnants of a stone circle, or even a hut is debatable (os). Vis=marked on rchm app overlay (rchm)vis=stone circle, 9.7m diam, four stones standing with one central stone (turner).
