Summary

Lower bowcombe, farmhouse and outbuildings. Situated in the valley running e - w from ugborough village to ludbrook. An attractive two- storey house. Three sash windows in upper storey; two sash windows on ground floor; centre door with rounded arch in stone. Hipped slate roof with end stacks. There is a stack at rear on a stone annex to the principal building. This annex may be the earlier part of the house. The main building probably late 18th century. Extensive stone buildings with modern additions to the w of the house. Mentioned as 'baucumb' in 1238.(pnd).
