Full description
Unknown, 1593-1613, Court rolls account of Buckland in the Moor and boundary statement (Record Office Collection). SDV313184.
Various Buckland Court rolls in the West Devon Record Office refer to a bondstone called Thrushall Stone etc. These documents date back to 1593. (For full details see Belsey 1985 parish checklist worksheet).
Belsey, P. M., 1983 - 1987, Buckland In The Moor Parish Checklist, 3/3/1986 (Un-published). SDV345904.
Belsey records an 'Undressed granite stone supporting kissing-gate where path from Ausewell Cottages joins the highway. Apart from its position there is no evidence that this is anything but a gate post'. (Appears not to be the old boundary stone referred to in the Record Office documents, Richards, A. F., 18/09/2018).

At Awsewell Corner, there used to be a stone known as the Throshell or Drossell Stone; recorded in past centuries. Like the Grey Mare stone (see MDV30589), this no longer survives.
