Peek mill, a disused quarry behind peek mill cottage, by the roadside, down the hill from higher broadaford. Not clear for what purpose the stone was used, but probable that quarrying was undertaken in the second half of the 19th century. Not mentioned in 1845 tithe register, but ussher knew of it in 1912.(he says it "exhibits spilitic characteristics") (anon).
