Summary

An unfinished mouldstone set into the base of the north-west side of the wall beside the path to Norsworthy. It is 0.8m long and 0.6m wide, and bears a rectangular depression 0.4m by 0.3m which is 0.1m deep.

Des=greeves, t. /list of known devon tin mills c 1450-c 1750/(1981)no 62 (in smr). The measurements of this stone agree well with the mouldstone at sx56736938 which is visible and may be the same stone (greeves,1981).

(SX 56786939) Unfinished mouldstone for tin (citing Worth, R. H., 1948).
(07/09/1950) Unfinished mould stone with rectangular depression. Apparently unfinished. Is incorporated in the north-western side of the base of the wall of the path from norsworthy. The stone measures 0.8m x 0.6m and the mould is 0.4m by 0.3m, 0.1m deep.

Baring-Gould mentions several old tin moulds lying beside the track though only one is now visible.
