Summary

Road bridge over tributary brook of river bovey. Road bridge over small brook. Circa mid c19. Granite rubble with squared and chamfered coping stones and moulded string-course above dressed voussoir arch. The coping stones return at each end of the cambered parapets. Shallow segmental voussoir arch with cambered string-course above. Low granite rubble wall extends either side of both parapets with large roughly dressed coping stone approximately 5 metres to south-east and to north-west. The walls extend as far as adjoining bridge at grid ref 740836 with refuge for pedestrians approximately 1/3 of the way along on the south-west side (doe).
