A field is named 'bear hills berry' in the tithe award (tithe map cited by os). Vis=27/1/1987 (os). This c 1 hectare sub-triangular shaped field lies at the junction of two green lanes below the crest of a prominent ridge. All the fields on the south facing slope have been intensively cultivated and no surface evidence of an earthwork was identified in the area (os).
