No. 4 Halford Cottages (Straw Top). Cottage in middle of a row of four. Probably 17th century. Solid roughcast walls, probably of cob or stone. Thatched roof. Large stone chimneystack on right-hand gable, its shaped top somewhat weathered. Brick stack on left-hand gable.
Single-depth plan. Two storeys. Two widely spaced windows in each storey; 20th century windows with leaded panes. 20th century door off-centre to right with 20th century thatched wood porch.
Interior not inspected. The cottage has group value with No. 3 next door.
