MANNING + TURTON, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV125236.

Original dates of these boundaries is unknown, but their proximity to chiverstone farm, which dates to at least 1284, is of interest (manning + turton).

Vis=17/3/1989 (robinson) site lies on gentle se slope, nothing visible. Tm shows complex of smaller fields, which could explain marks. Linear features to se show as field boundaries on tm (dprfp).

Cropmarks of narrow ditched enclosure boundaries are visible west of Chiverstone Farm, Kenton on aerial photographs of 1985 and 1990. The visible cropmark corresponds with a field boundary depicted on the Tithe map for Kenton and is therefore probably medieval to 19th century in date. The cropmark was not transcribed by the survey.
